Tracking heats, matings and pregnancies

Log each bitch's heats, matings and pregnancies, and let Breedscape forecast her next heat from her cycle history and count down to her whelping date.

Breeding records live in the Breeding group on each dog's page. Keep them up to date and Breedscape will tell you what's coming next.

Heats

For each heat, log:

Start and end dates.
When she was attractive, from and to.
Ovulation date.
Notes.

Matings

For each mating, log the date and time, how long the tie lasted, the insemination type, the semen type, and any notes.

Pregnancies

For each pregnancy, log the conception, confirmation, due and whelp dates, and any notes. If it turns out to be a false pregnancy, turn on the False pregnancy switch.

Forecasts

Once you've logged some breeding records, the dog's page shows a banner with:

Next heat predicted. Worked out from the average gap between her logged heats. With only one heat logged, Breedscape assumes six months (180 days).
Whelp due. A countdown to the whelp date or due date. If you've only logged the conception date, Breedscape counts 63 days from it.
